In a landmark move, the founder and Executive Director of Dbegotin Educational Foundation, Mr. Jeremiah Oseni, along with members of the Dbegotin in Kano State, held a productive meeting with the Honourable Commissioner for Education in Kano State, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, resulting in the formation of a strategic partnership with the Kano State government.
During the meeting, both parties officially agreed to join forces and work hand-in-hand to advance various key aspects of education, including teachers’ professional development, promoting girl-child education, extending support to vulnerable children, and enhancing access to digital education. The Honourable Commissioner, Doguwa, wholeheartedly pledged the unwavering commitment of the Kano State government to the success of this partnership.
The momentous occasion also witnessed the presence of directors from the Ministry of Education in Kano State, and numerous other stakeholders, all of whom expressed their enthusiasm and dedication to the collaborative efforts. Established in 2018, Dbegotin Educational Foundation is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to tackling education emergencies in Nigeria. Their mission is to break the barriers of poverty and inequality through education, prioritizing teachers’ professional development and advocating for inclusive education for the girl child.
